AMB: Innovations in the Honing Machine Industry

30. September 2016

The international exhibition for metalworking (AMB) in Stuttgart is the leading industry trade fair. Machine tools, precision tools or peripherals, this year, 90,000 visitors have demonstrated interest in chip-removing processes. The fair has reached the global top 5. KADIA was, of course, present among the approx. 1,500 exhibitors from 33 countries.  Being the technology leader in the field, the company has presented two innovations in the honing machine industry: along with the multi-spindle V line machine design, the expert audience in the machine tool industry also witnessed the presentation of the E line.

The E line had been first presented last year, as a preview for a new technology. Meanwhile, a series machine was created, that could be shown to the public as a special highlight of the fair. „E” stands for Economic, and the E line positions itself as an ultra-compact single-spindle machine providing cost-effective access to high-precision honing.

AMB attendants visiting the KADIA booth had the chance to see a basic version of the E-line, with a fixed table and a quick-change device. The model is ideal for prototyping and for small series manufacturers, but with the highest demands in terms of accuracy and productivity.

The reception by the experts was consistently positive. It was especially the entry-level pricing of the E line and the comfortable tooling concept that sparked great interest.
